International Foundation Program

– Chinese Language Preparatory Course

  Program Features

  • “1+4” Articulation Model: The first year focuses on intensive Chinese language learning, followed by four years of study in the student’s chosen academic department. The curriculum integrates language skills for both everyday communication and academic learning.
  • Placement Test: Class placement and proficiency levels are determined through the TOCFL Speedy Screening System.
  • Intensive Course Structure: Students typically take 15–20 hours of Chinese language courses per week, accumulating at least 720 hours of study within one academic year.
  • Goal-Oriented Learning: By the end of the first year, students are required to pass the TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) Level A2 as a prerequisite for admission to undergraduate programs.
  • Diverse Assessment Methods: Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are integrated into a comprehensive evaluation system with a strong focus on real-life application.
